Klaver is Hamza and Rabia, both senior Shopify engineers. There is no bench and no account or project manager. The people on the call are the people who ship.

One role, and only when the work pays for it.
The only role we would ever add is another senior Shopify engineer, and only when paying client work requires it. We do not hire to look bigger, and we are not hiring now.

Remote, on US Eastern overlap.
Work from wherever you do your best work. What we ask is real overlap with US Eastern hours, because that is when our clients launch, and launches need people awake in the same window.

Every PR reviewed by another senior engineer.
Today every pull request is reviewed by another senior engineer before it ships. Anyone we add would work the same way. No juniors learning on client work, ever.

Nothing open right now.
The senior engineers on the team cover the current client load. When paying work outgrows that, the list below is who we contact first.
The talent list
Even with nothing open, we keep a short list of people we would contact first. We do not ghost it. If a role opens, we work it in order, top to bottom. The only role on the list:
