Replatforming

WooCommerce to Shopify migration

WooCommerce is the largest single source of merchants moving to Shopify. The reasons are practical: the hosting, the plugin conflicts, the security patches and the developer hours all add up to what merchants call the WordPress tax.

All migrations

The move

Why merchants leave, and what has to survive.

Every WooCommerce store we have looked at has the same shape of risk. We plan for it before anyone touches DNS.

Why merchants leave

  • Plugin updates that break checkout at the worst moment
  • Hosting and performance you have to manage yourself
  • A checkout that converts worse than Shopify's on mobile
  • Wanting apps, payments and shipping that just work

What is at risk

  • Blog content and SEO built up over years on WordPress
  • Custom plugins doing things no Shopify app does out of the box
  • Product variants and attributes that need remapping
  • Subscriptions or memberships that must keep billing through the move

What we keep

  • Blog and landing pages, migrated or kept on WordPress behind the storefront
  • Rankings, through URL mapping and redirects
  • Customers, orders and products, verified against the source
  • Email flows and reviews reconnected before launch

Timeline and price

What it costs, and how long.

Discovery is a fixed fee and always comes first. It ends with a data audit, a redirect inventory, an integration map and a fixed quote. The fee is credited to the project.

Timeline for WooCommerce

Eight to twelve weeks for most stores; from $15K.

Small store migration

From $15K

Catalog, customers, orders, redirects, theme setup. 8–12 weeks.

Migration with Plus, ERP or B2B depth

$35K–$90K

Integrations, wholesale, multiple markets. 3–6 months.

Paid discovery

Fixed fee, credited to the project

Data audit, redirect inventory, integration map and a fixed quote. Always first.

Post-launch plan: From $800/mo. Every migration ships with one. The first month after launch decides whether the move paid off.

  • Fixed fee, quoted after discovery
  • 30-day warranty after launch
  • You own the store and the code
  • Collaborator access only, never your logins
  • The same engineers from the call to cutover
  • One large migration at a time

How we do it

The same method, every platform.

Redirects, data, integrations, cutover, hypercare. In that order, written down, with a rehearsed way back.

01

Redirects are the project

Skipping redirects can cost a store most of its organic traffic overnight. We inventory every URL, map or redirect each one, and monitor rankings for 60 days after launch while drops are still recoverable.

02

Data migrated, then reconciled

Migration scripts run dry, then for real, then a row-count and revenue reconciliation against the old system. Order history is visible in the new admin from day one.

03

Integrations before design

ERP, 3PL, email, reviews, subscriptions: each is mapped and tested on the new store before we spend a day on the storefront, because a store that looks right and cannot ship orders has not been migrated.

04

One at a time, with a rehearsed way back

We run one large migration at a time so it gets senior attention every day. Cutover happens in an agreed quiet window with the rollback rehearsed in advance.

05

Launch is the midpoint

We smoke-test home, product, cart, checkout, search and analytics before you do, then watch orders, redirects and Search Console for two to four weeks under warranty.

FAQ

Before you move.

The questions every merchant asks before leaving WooCommerce. Anything else, ask on the readiness call.

Done properly, no. The risk is real and it comes from skipped redirects, lost metadata and a rushed cutover. The redirect inventory, the metadata carry-over and 60 days of Search Console monitoring are in every migration we run.

Also moving from

Other platforms we move stores from.

Salesforce Commerce, Square, Squarespace, Wix or an older Shopify setup? The migrations page covers the method, and the readiness call covers your store.
